Storer, C. Kenneth
1926 - 2018
C. Kenneth "Ken" Storer, baker of bread, repairer of vacuum cleaners, devoted father, husband, and servant of Christ, age 91, was escorted home by his Savior on April 26, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Clyde and Ella Mae Storer, brother-in-law Joseph Neds and by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Martha Jane Storer. He is survived by sister-in-law, Miriam Neds of Findlay; and by sons, Mark (Gail) of Columbus, Scott (Lori) of Carmel, IN and Joseph (Melissa) of Columbus. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jonathon (Jessica); and great-grandchild, Aiden, Thomas (Koli), Alexander (Christina), Kelsey and David. In addition, he is survived by two nephews, a niece, and their families. Ken graduated from Worthington High School in 1944 and enlisted in the US Navy. After two years of WWII service he was Honorably Discharged and enrolled for the fall term at Ohio Wesleyan University in 1946. Ken and Martha were married in December 1947 and he graduated from OWU in 1950. He worked for Ranco Controls and later for The Buckeye Stamping Co, retiring in 1992. Ken, known to his grandchildren as "grandpa fix-it", will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather and for his service to others through the Boy Scouts and his church. Ken was a longtime member of Linworth United Methodist Church and New England Lodge #4 F.&A.M., Worthington. A Memorial Service will be held on May 19, 2018 at Linworth UMC, 7070 Bent Tree Blvd., Columbus, OH 43235, Dr. Eugene Folden officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10-11 a.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. A light lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall following the Memorial Service. Ken will be interred in the Columbarium at Linworth UMC in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Linworth UMC in Ken's memory to support Christian youth education, ministries and programs. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME.
