Willimantic Reviews

I bought a house there, lived in it 2 years. My cars were broken into, the schools with fighting every day , people sleeping around the park. I put up privacy fence, neighbors running illegal automotive shop next to my house. I many complaints by phone, email, in person to code enforcer officer Emizelia Ayala about the illegal automotive work, damages to my fence being done due to illegal automotive work . Asking her to come to see herself. She would come hours later when work was done. I met with mayor Thomas Devivo, showed little interest, tried to meet with town manager, Jim Rivers no luck there instead I got to speak with executive administrator Xiomara Capo who told me , after multiple complaints to code enforcers, the mayor ,town manager, with pictures to prove the illegal automotive work next door that they will not do anything , for me to get a lawyer. They are supposed to enforce the codes and they did nothing. I sold my home, it's not worth living in here.
There isn't much for the youth to do & there is a devastatingly large homeless population. If you are looking for somewhere permanent and sad, Willimantic is it.
The town of Willimantic has a wide variety of diversity in the community. With also having small shops on our local main street is a great way to explore this small town and what we have to offer. Being able to go to local schools that want to provide for the students rae great as well, Windham/ Willimantic is a tight knit community where everybody knows everyone that can be beneficial.
