The first trailer from the upcoming Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage shows the couple sharing a sweet moment. It was announced in late 2023 that Young Sheldon, a spinoff of The Big Bang Theory, would conclude with its upcoming seventh installment. Explaining the decision to wrap up after season 7, franchise creator Chuck Lorre explained Sheldon's story had arrived at a natural endpoint. But the character's family will continue to have a presence on CBS.

Along with the official announcement of the show's title, and confirmation that the spinoff will take over Young Sheldon's timeslot of Thursdays at 8 PM ET, CBS shared the first teaser for Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Check it out below:

The brief video highlights the happy couple sharing a kiss and features actors Emily Osment and Jordan Montana sharing their excitement over joining CBS' primetime line-up.

What To Know About The Georgie & Mandy Spinoff

The Titular Young Sheldon Couple Will Raise Their Family.

In the main Big Bang Theory series, Georgie is twice divorced, so the spinoff could potentially have a lot of room to maneuver and explore what happens with the duo that became a fan-favorite during their time on Young Sheldon.

Jordan has been with the Young Sheldon cast from the start, as Sheldon and Missy's older brother, George Marshall “Georgie” Cooper Jr. He dropped out of school at the age of 17 to work full-time at his grandmother's laundromat. It's there that he meets Mandy (Osment) in season 5. Though he lied to Mandy about his age, claiming he was 21, she eventually trusted him. The pair's baby daughter was born in season 6 and the new parents got married in season 7.
