97% Tomatometer 36 Reviews 88% Audience Score 50+ Ratings This comedy-drama is inspired by Norman Lear's 1975 series of the same name. This time around, the series follows the life of Penelope, a newly single Army veteran, and her Cuban-American family, as they navigate the ups and downs of life. Now a nurse, Penelope is raising two strong-willed children. When faced with challenges, Penelope turns to her "old-school" mother, and her building manager, who has become an invaluable confidant. The series offers a contemporary take on what life looks like in both good and bad times, and how loved ones can help make it all worthwhile. Read More Read Less Watch on Netflix Stream Now

isa d My comfort show, characters, fictional family... Watching this series in a very specific period of my life was one of those moments that altered the chemistry of my brain. For the better! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review DS F Funny yet insightful. It is hard to pull off even one of these, yet One day at a time manages to effortlessly do both together. The writing us tight, morally in the dit yet not preachy. The acting is wonderful especially Rita Moreno and Stephen Topolowski. A mist watch, make more Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/20/23 Full Review conner k My favorite tv show. I've watched this series at least 7 times. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review carldene g Incredible show. When I watch a sitcom, I always anticipate what comes next, but this show always surpassed those expectations. The story always went in a direction I wasn't expecting, and it was always better than what I thought it would be. In fact, as the season went along, I found myself picking out 2 directions the episode might take, and they would take it a 3rd way I didn't see. Again, the best choice. I'm so excited to see what happens in seasons 2+. I'm not Latina, and every episode teaches me something about the culture without slamming it in your face, and making me feel bad about my own heritage. I just can't say enough good things about this show. If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to give it a try. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Mario A this series brings us very good moments of quick jokes that fit with the scenario managing to convince with the characters, the first season introduced us to the family started a little slow but ends well, a series that you can watch at any time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/05/22 Full Review Tim B I absolutely Loved this series but Elena really did make it hard to watch at times (not the actress the character) Wasn't a fan of some of the forced Woke-Agenda but other than that a wonderful show!
