This was the worse experience of any stadium I have visited world wide. Disgusting filthy conditions, no bottled water available ( and visitors not allowed to bring in) coke on sale but only in small cups. Why? no hand gel allowed and nowhere to wash hands. No sun tan lotion allowed and then not allowed to move into shady space. Dangerous for locals and visitors alike. The BCCI should be ashamed.

I have never had such a wretched experience with ground authorities at any cricket match. The contrast with the warm and generous Indian fans inside the ground was striking. Hyderabad cricket authority hang your heads in shame for the officious and absurd conduct of many of your security staff which among other things included an attempt to confiscate sunglasses , sun tan lotion ( is skin cancer for cricket viewers in the Hyderabad cricket authority’s mission statement ?) and, hilariously my Wisden Cricketer Monthly magazine was also confiscated . Is it to make a quick buck on resale or just a pitiful attempt to exert power? Who knows but this is not the spirit of cricket

Absolute dump of a ground … our human rights were violated with suntan lotion , lip balm, wet wipes , tissues . Sweets being taken away from us …. And then having the sanctimonious security guards laugh at us …..
No water for sale … who drinks coke & lemonade in the heat …. … I was told it was incase we threw said items at the players …. I would have to be a good shot from top tier of stand !!!!!’

Saw 2 IPL Matches in this stadium...and I love the crowd / sports fans in Hyderabad. Though the entry / exit during such games is cumbersome ... but it is electrifying experience to be amidst the crowd during any such nerve-wrecking match!!

This Stadium conducting IPL matches and International Matches. Maintenance was good. There are so many gates to enter to the stadium.

Rajiv Gandhi International cricket stadium is very good. I went there to watch an IPL match. It was very good fun there.

I was there to watch the CLT20 Opening game between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, last month. The stadium is situated very far from the heart of the city, takes about 2 hrs from Secunderabad.
The stadium is built well and the seating capacities are pretty average. The washrooms are pathetic, and there aren't much offerings on the foody end. Dominos sell their 50Rs(pizza mania single pizza) for over 180 bucks ! Plus the DJ wasn't all that good :(
But overall, the whole experience was electrifying ! Afterall it was a fight between the heavy weights of IPL !

After looking forward to visiting this stadium I was very disappointed with the reality. On a hot day, the draconian rules mean you cannot bring in water or sunscreen, and then you cannot buy bottles of water or tea inside. I got shouted at by police for having a pen and it was confiscated, I have never heard such a ridiculous rule in 38 years of watching live sport. Every Indian fan I spoke to was so polite and helpful, I cannot understand why you are treated like a criminal in this stadium and given such a poor choice of food and drink in a nation full of culinary delights. Instead of a fun day out, it was an endurance.

only International stadium for cricket may be that the reason the administration will not respect the audience, no adequate facilities and no maintenance even stands and ground too

Are "cheer stick balloons" with team SRH logo on it ALLOWED inside?
This does not require a pump, it can be blown on the court by ourselves.
When brought into the stadium, it can be a thin piece of inflated balloon, or a balloon that has been inflated.
We want to bring these in and cheer for the team, is that okay?

the stadium was easily accessible from the city by Private cabs and as well as by local public transportation ( little tough for foreigners like u ).
regarding stay.... it depends on your budget but the hotels close to the stadium are not good
i suggest u to saty in central part of city for good accommodation options.
