Gigi Hadid & Bradley Cooper’s Ex Irina Shayk Narrowly Avoided Each Other at the Met Gala
A run-in to remember. Bradley Cooper’s girlfriend and ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid and Irina Shayk attended the Met Gala 2024 at the same as each other, and we would love to be a fly on the wall.
For the 2024 Met Gala theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening of Fashion” and “The Garden of Time,” Hadid wore a white off-the-shoulder Thom Browne gown featuring rose detailing. She completed the look with an old Hollywood glamour up-do and a bright red lip. Shayk, who walked the Met Gala red carpet after Hadid, dressed in a full-length dress made entirely of an invisible net of Swarovski crystals.
Hadid and Cooper were first linked in October 2023 when they were photographed leaving dinner at the restaurant Via Carota in New York City. They have a lot in common,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “They’re both single parents to a young daughter, and they share a similar sense of humor.”
Hadid is a mother to son, Khai, with her ex-boyfriend, Zayn Malik. Cooper, for his part, shares daughter Lea de Seine, with his ex-girlfriend, Shayk. In regards to her child, the source claimed that Hadid “has no intention of introducing Khai to anybody she dates unless she’s in a fully committed relationship,” Despite this, the source added that Hadid is still “open to the idea of getting to know [Cooper] better.”
“[They] have been out a couple of times,” the source continued. They met through a mutual friend, the insider adds, and “[she’s] really enjoying spending time [with him].”
Cooper and Shayk dated from 2015 to 2019. A source told People at the time of their split that romance rumors between Cooper and his A Star Is Born co-star, Lady Gaga, didn’t help his relationship with Shayk, though they weren’t the main reason for their breakup.
“The rumors about Bradley and Gaga having a love affair didn’t help especially with his constant travels [promoting the film],” the source said. “He has a huge and overwhelming connection to Gaga but whether it becomes a real love story in their lives for all the world to see is premature, and it’s difficult to speculate at this sensitive time.”
Cooper and Shayk, who welcomed their daughter in 2017, remain friends. “I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst–it’s just the nature of a human being,” Shayk told British Vogue in 2020. “Two great people don’t have to make a good couple.”
Shayk also discussed life as a single mother. “It’s hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider,” she said. “Trust me, there are days I wake up and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I don’t know what to do, I’m falling apart.'”
