Peter Steinfeld is an American actor and fitness expert. He is the brother of actor/fitness expert Jake Steinfeld (of the "Body By Jake" fitness line) and father of actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld.

He has appeared on Married... with Children three different times as different characters.

Biography[]

In 1978, he moved out to California, where he attended California State University Northridge and studied business and nutrition.

Career[]

In the early 1980s, he was hired by his older brother to work for the "Body by Jake" company as a personal trainer. He was credited as a personal trainer for actress Nancy Allen in the 1989 film, Limit Up (which also featured MWC guest stars Rance Howard and Ava Fabian). He was also credited as a personal trainer for the 1987 films, The Principal and Made in U.S.A.

As an actor, he appeared on various television shows during 1980s and 1990s, including Happy Day, Matlock, Martin, and Sisters.

From 1991 to 1992, he and his brother Jake appeared as cornermen on the syndicated game show, The Grudge Match, where two contestants would fight in a boxing ring and use various tools such as food, foam bats, or boxing gloves to settle their personal disputes. The show also featured comedian John Pinette, who played Bill on the MWC spin-off Vinnie & Bobby, as the referee.

According to IMDb, his last acting credit was on the HBO show, Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2000.

In 1990, he went on to start his own fitness company, Better Shape-Up. His clients include Madonna, Glenn Frey, Ozzy Osbourne, and Larry David. He continues to serve as a personal trainer to his daughter, Hailee.

Appearances on MWC[]

In season 3's Life's a Beach, he plays the lifeguard who returns the steering wheel of the Rhoades' Mercedes-Benz (named "Klaus") to Steve and Marcy.

In season 6's Kelly Does Hollywood Part II, he plays Rock Turboman, an actor who is concerned about his new show, Young Ben Franklin being cancelled and asks Jeff Littlehead if it would be OK to buy a house. Although Jeff assures him that it would be fine to do so and that the show is doing great, a few moments later, Jeff turns to Al and Kelly to tell them that the show is actually cancelled.

In season 8's Nooner or Later, he plays Pete, a man waiting in line at Gary's Shoes for the Burned Beyond Recognition concert. He gets upset when Kelly and Bud cut in front of him, after Al lost their spot. After insulting Kelly and becoming more agitated, Kelly suggests that he take his issue up with Bud instead and then proceeds to throw him across the store.
