Exclusive bonus 7": Originally scheduled for release as a 7-inch single on the iconic Stiff Records label in October 1979, this title was allocated the catalogue number BUY 57, but was never released.

The A-Side was written by Kirsty with Simon Crowe and Pete Briquette of the Boomtown Rats. The picture sleeve uses an unpublished contemporary photo of the trio taken by acclaimed photographer Adrian Boot, and is sure to become a collectors item for fans of Kirsty and of the label.

Universal Music Recordings are proud to present a new eight disc boxset celebrating the career of British singer and songwriter Kirsty MacColl.

It brings together 161 tracks recorded between 1979 and 2000, features 47 previously unreleased recordings, and includes her second album ‘Real’, recorded in 1983 but never released, it is presented here complete and sequenced for the first time.

Alongside all of Kirsty’s singles, this collection includes album favourites, extended versions, B-Sides and bonus tracks, previously unreleased demo recordings, live sets form the Glastonbury Festival in 1992, and the Jazz Café, London in 1999, plus studio sessions and live performances originally recorded for BBC radio and television.

The final disc is a selection of collaborations with other artists, as either singer or songwriter, and further illustrates how in-demand and versatile Kirsty’s extraordinary talents were.

The eight discs are packaged in two gatefold sleeves, together with a 60-page hardback full colour book with new sleeve notes from respected author and journalist Jude Rogers, plus rare and previously unseen photos. The whole package is contained in a 24cm x 24cm slipcase.

This collection was compiled with the full support of Kirsty’s estate, and with generous input from her family, friends and fellow musicians, who contributed to the sleeve notes, and made archive recordings available for the very first time.
