The LMA represents the interests of all managers from the Premier League, Sky Bet Championship, Leagues 1 and 2, and the Barclays Women’s Super League and Championship.
O’Neill is celebrated for his transformative tenure at Celtic, beginning in 2000, after taking over from a team managed by John Barnes and Kenny Dalglish. Under his leadership, Celtic quickly overturned a period of underachievement, highlighted by a commanding 6-2 victory in his first Old Firm derby.
His initial season ended spectacularly with a domestic treble, marking Celtic’s first since Jock Stein’s in 1968-69. O’Neill’s squad retained the league title the following year and made significant strides in European competitions, including a memorable run to the 2003 UEFA Cup Final in Seville under his guidance.
O’Neill’s tenure at Celtic was marked by a series of successes, including three League titles, three Scottish Cups, and a League Cup, making him one of the most successful managers in the club’s history.
