Anton Bitel Little White Lies plays out like a reimagining of The Wicker Man, although that film’s uptight male Christian copper has become a laid-back female vicar whose maternal status challenges the original’s patriarchal values. Jan 10, 2024 Full Review Leslie Felperin Guardian Director William Brent Bell (best known for the insipid Orphan prequel Orphan: First Kill) can’t work up a proper head of suspense, no matter how many poppets made of human hair and twigs he hangs on trees... Rated: 2/5 Jan 2, 2024 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting Lord of Misrule can’t fully escape the trappings established by quintessential folk horror films like The Wicker Man, but Bell gives it his all to subvert many of the tropes and make it entertaining. Rated: 2.5/5 Dec 8, 2023 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Me gusta el cine Much could have been done with all this material, but “Lord of Misrule” ends up doing very little, resulting in an occasionally interesting experience, but one generally lacking in ambition and atmosphere. Full review in Spanish. Rated: 2/5 Mar 7, 2024 Full Review Ian Bunting Daily Record (UK) The mystery at the heart of Lord of Misrule never quite grips the way it aims to and the ending is a little too convenient. Feb 14, 2024 Full Review Rebecca Johnson Film Focus Online Despite feeling occasionally familiar and predictable, it's strong performances, superb visuals and tangible atmosphere make it worth a watch. Ineson and Middleton excel, and the folklore vibes are unmatched. Rated: 3/5 Jan 30, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Bobby D Set me down into a mood Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Alejandro L Very bad movie. It does not progress . Waste if time Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/06/24 Full Review RD * Another stinker that had good reviews on here somehow. Why and ugh. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review Andrzej W Just weak, nothing happens for 90% of the movie, no tension at all, characters are bland and you just don't care about them as viewer. Could be considered slowburn if all the plots were connected reasonably and if the ending wasn't so boring and lame. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/30/24 Full Review Jess L First of all, the main character is a married, female catholic priest. Having any catholic imagery in horror movies is usually a bad sign since no one seems to put any effort in to knowing anything about catholicism, but having a married female priest is down right laughable. The ending doesn't really tie anything up, and the whole movie could've run maybe 20-30 minutes if the main character just listened to what literally everyone else was telling her the whole time. The 2 stars are for the creature that showed up for maybe 5 minutes, loved that guy. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/16/24 Full Review Tyler S If this is what British cinema is then I don't like it.
