Bill Henderson, a jazz vocalist and actor, died Sunday of natural causes, according to Variety. He was 90.
Henderson was born March 19, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois. He started his professional music career in 1952 in Chicago with Ramsey Lewis. He moved to New York City later and recorded his first album. He went on to sing with many jazz greats including Oscar Peterson, Count Basie, and Jimmie Smith. He performed at many jazz festivals including Playboy Jazz at the Hollywood Bowl.

Although he was known better for his singing career, he was also a character actor. He had guest-star roles on many popular television series including “Happy Days,” “Hill Street Blues,” and “My Name Is Earl.”
He is survived by his daughter and a granddaughter.
