Rick Groen Globe and Mail Lloyd the Conqueror is nothing if not brave. Then again, since Lloyd the Conqueror is also not funny, not even remotely, brave will have to do. Rated: 1/4 Nov 30, 2012 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See Cheap, juvenile, cheesy, and utterly ridiculous, in all the best possible ways. And it's about damn time that LARPers get their day in the sun. Rated: B- Jul 19, 2020 Full Review Sarah Gopaul Digital Journal An unexplored culture until now, this movie has fun without making fun. Oct 22, 2018 Full Review Deirdre Crimmins Film Thrills Scott Patey as the slacker Oswald, and Brian Posehn as the owner of the local gaming shop make the film fun. Audience Member Oh, indie fantasy themed comedies... It's a hard road to walk. The script is like something your friend wrote, but then there's a 50 piece Prague Orchestra doing the score and an actual metal soundtrack deal behind it. Brian Posehn gets the role of his lifetime. Tegan Moss is the Canadian girl American guys dream aboot. I enjoyed it. I get why people don't, but part of me likes that other people dedicated their time to making this film. And in the end I think it's better we get films like this than "Free Samples". Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It was funny in that "Todd and the Book of Pure Evil" way. Brian Posehn is HILARIOUS always. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed the Lloyd the conqueror. It was a small movie with a big idea. Very nice change from the Hollywood rubbish audiences are subjected to. The humour was subtle and characters very strong. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Small time Canadian comedy about live action role playing. It does try, very hard but everything about it is just so very, very boring. There was one maybe two bits I laughed at, it was terribly unfunny, it was a waste of my time and a waste of yours if you ever watch it. Don't do it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member My feelings about Lloyd The Conqueror are very mixed, one the one hand I has a really nice charm to it showing that with great creativity you don't have to have a big budget to make a fantasy hero style story. However the story itself isn't very good, its pretty much your generic zero to hero, fall from grace, rise to win storyline but a the same time its very amusing to watch a hilarious ride and you can tell the actors with this film really enjoyed making this cause c'mon it makes Larp'ing look like a lot of fun no matter how silly you look. I wouldn't say this film has sold me on Larp'ing but like cosplay its defiantly got me intrigued. It's hard to say weather or not this film is worth seeing so this one might be one you'll want to rent out on an unplanned weekend and judge for yourself. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I geared up to go to battle with LLOYD THE CONQUEROR. When three lazy college students need to pass their Medieval Literature class in order to keep their financial aid Lloyd and his two best friends Patrick and Oswald bag for a extra credit work. Their professor, Derek, concedes but only on one condition: They must join his deteriorating L.A.R.P.ing league and battle against him in a game of Demons & Dwarves. LLOYD THE CONQUEROR is a awesome movie I really enjoyed this film and with cast members like Brian Posehn, Mike Smith a.k.a bubbles and the one and only Harland Williams. LLOYD THE CONQUEROR is well written and all around fun. This film is one of those movies that when its done you want to watch it again right away. And with a cool cast and funny quotes this is one of those awesome indie movies that everyone should check out and I bet after you are done watching I bet you will want to try L.A.R.P.ing I know I did. Your going to have to watch LLOYD THE CONQUEROR on demand of on xbox 360 market place like I did "a must see " 9 out of 10 @The_palekids http://www.facebook.com/ThePaleKids Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
