Oh boy. What it lacks in production values, excitement and talent it somewhat makes up for in charm. Destination Inner Space boldly attempts an underwater alien encounter story with just a few bare rooms, a decent latex monster suit, and lots of stock footage of underwater stuff. Take THAT, The Abyss!
The most perplexing dramatic element is the escalating conflict between two military guys, Maddox and Wayne. Maddox has this chip on his shoulder about an old mission where he continuously blames Wayne for letting the crew drown. It’s later revealed and admitted by Maddox that it was Maddox’ fault. I MEAN WHY EVEN BRING IT UP, GUY.
Ambitious but pretty boring and lacking anything you’d remember about it.
