Miramonte High School Reviews
Rating 3.95 out of 5 234 reviews
Miramonte High School has been a very productive learning and work environment for me. Classes are/were challenging yet rewarding, given that you are focused and hard-working. I found myself somewhat struggling, but not failing, to get A's in many of my AP courses, but effortlessly earned 5's on their respective AP tests, which emphasizes how well the classes and teachers set me up for success. However, Miramonte's athletics programs and general facilities were lacking. I never received credit for my extracurricular sport, despite spending 20+ hours a week on it. The weight room is small and has many broken/old machines, and excluding the newer wellness center and decent library, the buildings, in general, are quite unsightly and dreary. I hope that changes can be made to these issues, whilst retaining an academically excellent environment.
Miramonte High School is an academically rigorous school. It will prepare you well for college if you take advantage of its resources, and it has a top-notch College & Career Center. However, its student counselors are somewhat checked out, and teachers tend to sometimes give unreasonable amounts of work and grade unfairly.
Sophomore - The academics are really the strong point of the school. Good selection of AP classes, great teachers, and a culture with an importance on academics.
