Jeff Cook welcomes Brady from the Maryland area to Happy Valley

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State men's soccer announces its final addition to its 2023 recruiting class with the signing of Conrad Brady from Bethesda, Md. Brady rounds out the 11-man class coming to Penn State in the fall.

"Conrad Brady will be an important addition to our program," said head coach Jeff Cook. "He arrives in Happy Valley with a pedigree as a youth player with the Philadelphia Union Academy and Bethesda Soccer Club, in addition to the success he enjoyed at Landon School. Conrad has a high level of game understanding and plays with great commitment, qualities that will serve him well as he transitions to NCAA Division I soccer. We are excited to welcome him to Penn State!"

The tenacious center midfielder had a stellar high school soccer career playing for Landon School. He helped lead the team to win the Interstate Athletic Conference (IAC) Championship back-to-back years in 2021 and 2022. As a two-time captain, Brady finished his time as a Bear as the All-IAC Co-Player of the Year and landed on All-MET first team.

The future Nittany Lion has strong club soccer experience, playing for Bethesda Soccer Club in the MLS Next league for five seasons. Brady also spent time playing for the Philadelphia Union Academy as well as FC Delco.

College athletics has been passed down in the Brady household. His father Bill played collegiate soccer at Wheaton College and his mother Sofia played college tennis also at Wheaton College.

When asked why Penn State, Brady responded, "I chose Penn State because of the vast academic opportunities and elite athletic environment I will be surrounded by every day."
