COLDNESS | definition in the Cambridge English Dictionary
Its pleasure, which is not voluptuous but astringent, can only be expressed by oxymoron: sensuous coldness, opulent dryness, mysterious clarity, alluring purity.
Enter a restaurant that doesn't have one, and you'll loathe every new customer who comes in, bringing with them a brutal reminder of the coldness that awaits outdoors.
But even if coldness were more unpleasant than heat on a per-degree basis, that doesn't make it any more reasonable to fire up your furnace and spare your air conditioner.
