The third and final feature length episode of Murder in Provence, airing on ABC TV on Saturday 20 April, sees the investigation of a young woman’s death in the town of Éguilles, potentially linked to a love affair. With her fiancé missing, Antoine Verlaque (Roger Allam), Marine Bonnet, and Hélene find themselves working harder than ever to uncover the truth. Was it her obsessive colleague or her suspiciously friendly boss?
Adding to the intrigue, the body of an older woman is discovered at a vineyard kilometres away, prompting questions of a potential connection between the two murders. Could this lead Verlaque and his team to the killer? Meanwhile, Marine receives a surprising request from an old acquaintance who has moved back to Aix.
The series, based on the books by ML Longworth, follows the chief magistrate of Aix-en-Provence, Antoine Verlaque, and his partner, Marine Bonnet, as they navigate the murders, mysteries, and dark secrets of their idyllic home in the south of France.
Murder in Provence Episode 3 airs on ABC TV at 7.30 pm on Saturday 20 April 2024.
