you may want to try reaching out to O2. I had a cingular 7290 that ATT unlocked for me no problem. I also had them unlock an 6280, and an 8700 as well.
Not that i am aware of. It would be GSM for radio and likely not able to connect to modern networks.
If you know the password you can factory reset it and set it up as an organizer.
Oh it works fine, here in the UK we don’t have any shutoffs, I just want to remove the network lock

If you're still on O2, even with a new phone: log in to My O2, top right More, Unlock Your Device, enter the IMEI.
