Product Usage Instructions
Checking Car Compatibility
To check if your car supports CarPlay, plug in an iPhone(running iOS 10 or newer) using a genuine Lightning cable. If a notification pops up on the iPhone or if there is a CarPlay icon in the car stereo menu, your car supports Apple CarPlay.
Connecting the Adapter
Plug the adapter into the USB port designated for wired Apple CarPlay connection in your car.
Setting Up Wireless CarPlay
- Turn on your iPhone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Pair with the Bluetooth named OTTO-xxxx.
- Tap ‘Pair-Allow-Use CarPlay’ on the iPhone pop-up notifications.
- Wait a few seconds for the wireless connection to establish.
Updating Firmware
Firmware update is not recommended unless necessary. To update, enter 192.168.1.101 in your phone’s browser when connected to wireless CarPlay. Tap ‘Update’ if available.

This adapter is designed for iPhones to use Apple CarPlay wirelessly on a factory car multimedia system which has a built-in wired Apple CarPlay function. However, not every car with built-in CarPlay can fit this adapter. To check whether your car has CarPlay, first plug an iPhone (running iOS 10 or newer) into the car USB ports with genuine factory Lightning cable. If there is a notification pop-up on the iPhone, that means your car has built-in Apple CarPlay. Alternatively, if there is a CarPlay icon in the car stereo menu, then your car has built-in Apple CarPlay as well. Finally, you can contact your car dealer for help.

- Click once while the device is on: Disconnect the current connected iPhone.
- Press and hold for more than 10 seconds: Factory reset; all connection history will be erased.

Note: The adapter should be plugged into the USB port that is for wired Apple CarPlay connecting if there are multiple USB ports in your car.
Setting Up Wireless CarPlay
- First, turn on your iPhone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then pair to the Bluetooth named “OTTO-xxxx”. Next, tap “Pair-Allow-Use CarPlay” on the iPhone pop-up notifications. In a few seconds, the iPhone will be wirelessly connected.
Note: Before pairing to a new iPhone, please disconnect the currently connected phone from Bluetooth/Wi-Fi in the iPhone’s control center or click the adapter’s button once.
Firmware Update
Firmware update is NOT recommended when everything works well.
- If your iPhone is connected to the wireless CarPlay, enter 192.168.1.101 on your phone’s browser, then tap “Update” if there is an update available.
- If your iPhone can’t connect to the wireless CarPlay, please join the adapter’s Wi-Fi network [OTTO-xxxx] manually – the password is “88888888” (eight eights). Next, enter 192.168.1.101 on your phone’s browser and tap “Update”.
- On the same web interface, you can also fill in the information about the car and issues that you encountered. If you tap “Submit”, you report the issue. After the success notification appears, take a screenshot and email us at [email protected]. We will fix the issue as soon as possible.
- Note: The blue and red LED indicators will flash alternatively while updating. Wait for more than 30 seconds after the white indicator is solid, then disconnect and reconnect the adapter from the USB port to finish the whole update.
Warranty Conditions
A new product was purchased in the Alza. cz sales network is guaranteed for 2
years. If you need repair or other services during the warranty period,
contact the product seller directly, you must provide the original proof of
purchase with the date of purchase.
The following are considered to be a conflict with the warranty conditions,
for which the claimed claim may not be recognized:
- Using the product for any purpose other than that for which the product is intended or failing to follow the instructions for maintenance, operation, and service of the product.
- Damage to the product by a natural disaster, the intervention of an unauthorized person, or mechanically through the fault of the buyer (e.g., during transport, cleaning by inappropriate means, etc.).
- Natural wear and aging of consumables or components during use (such as batteries, etc.).
- Exposure to adverse external influences, such as sunlight and other radiation or electromagnetic fields, fluid intrusion, object intrusion, mains overvoltage, electrostatic discharge voltage (including lightning), faulty supply or input voltage and inappropriate polarity of this voltage, chemical processes such as used power supplies, etc.
- If anyone has made modifications, modifications, alterations to the design or adaptations to change or extend the functions of the product compared to the purchased design or use of non-original components.
