University of Washington Reviews
Rating 3.79 out of 5 4,683 reviews
The University of Washington offers a vibrant school life characterized by a welcoming atmosphere and warm-hearted professors who genuinely care about their students' success. Interactions with classmates are often pleasant and enriching, fostering a sense of community. However, safety concerns linger as an area needing improvement. While the campus exudes warmth and inclusivity, addressing safety issues would further enhance the overall experience, ensuring students can focus on their studies without worry. Despite this aspect, the university's positive attributes, from its supportive faculty to its friendly student body, create a conducive environment for academic and personal growth.
First off, GO DAWGS!
If you want to attend a university with a large community and are up for the academic challenge, the UW is more than worth considering. From my experience, this university heavily relies on research and if you are into a STEM major, you will get plenty of exposure to it. Many opportunities are available for students to expand their experience and gain on-campus part-time jobs, regardless of their standing. I attended this university for my 4 years of undergrad and am excited to say that I am returning to the university for my graduate program. Once a Husky, always a Husky.

It was an amazing journey and professors were very flexible when the pandemic hit. It is an environment where one is motivated to excel and give oneself more opportunities to try new things no matter how scary they might seem at first. Students, friends, professors, mentors, and everyone around my time at UW were a reminder of the potential my hard work had on society. I still keep in touch with them and just know they become long-term connections even after you graduate!
