The film produced by Balachander's home banner Kavithalayaa Productions featured Madhavan and Simran in the leading roles with Lawrence Raghavendra and Sneha playing other key roles. The film's music is composed by A. R. Rahman whilst A. Venkatesh was cinematographer. Paarthale Paravasam tells the story of a couple going through a breakup after the husband is exposed for having a child from a juvenile relationship. It also shows the introduction of love interests for the couple, and if they reconcile forms the crux of the plot. The film released on November 14, 2001 to mixed reviews and became a commercial failure.

This was simultaneously released in Tamil as Kadhal Sugamanathu with scenes of Pyramid Natrajan playing Tarun's father and Livingston playing the role of Ali. The song "Manasuna Unnadi Cheppalanunnadi" proved to be an extremely popular one.

Starring his "regular cast" consisting of Jai, Vaibhav and Premji Amaran in the lead roles along with Sneha, Piaa Bajpai and the debutant Australian model Melanie Marie in other roles, the film is the first production of Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Picture Productions. Actors Silambarasan Rajendar, Nayantara and Prasanna make guest appearances in the film, which features music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, whilst cinematography is handled by Sakthi Saravanan and the film is edited by K. L. Praveen and N. B. Srikanth. The film follows the journey of three young men, Vinayagam, Ramarajan and Saamikannu, who flee from their remote, conservative village to escape their overly strict families and travel to the international tourist-destination Goa, after encountering a friend who had fallen in love with a Caucasian girl whilst on holiday there. The film explores their time in Goa, the people they meet ranging from gay hoteliers to suave casino owners, and dwells on the relationships they encounter in the region.

25Rajinikanth, Nayantara, DhanushKuselan is a 2008 Tamil drama film directed by P. Vasu. A remake of the Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol, it was produced by Pushpa Kandaswamy, Aswani Dutt and G. P. Vijayakumar in two languages. Kuselan stars Pasupathy and Meena in lead roles. Rajinikanth plays an extended cameo role, as does Nayantara. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu as Kathanayakudu with a slightly different cast. The plot revolves around a villager, who had shared a strong friendship with a popular cinema actor in his youth. However, due to their different careers they were forced to part ways, one becoming a national figure, the other, a village barber. Decades later, the actor returns to the village to participate in his film's shooting. Whilst the entire village become excited about the prospect of seeing the actor, the barber fears that his old friend would have forgotten him and would neglect him. Kuselan opened to audiences on 1 August 2008, taking the third largest opening for a Tamil film up until the date of release.

Karunanidhi 's novel of the same name. It features Thiagarajan's son Prashanth in lead dual roles as warrior princes, portraying the titular characters, with actresses Pooja Chopra and Divya Parameshwaran making their film debuts as princesses. The film also features an extensive cast of supporting actors with Prabhu Ganesan, Napoleon, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Sneha and Kushboo amongst others. The background score and soundtrack of the film, composed by Ilaiyaraaja, was released on 27 March 2011. Filming, although significantly delayed, began in August 2009 at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai, where an ancient township film set with temples, forts, a lake and palaces had been built. The film's producers encountered difficulties in making prompt payments to its crew that consisted of more than 1000 members during the filming in the forests of Pollachi. The filming then shifted to Guindy National Park in Chennai, with the battle sequences shot in Kerala and Karnataka.

Suresh, was released by Sun Pictures on 12 February 2010, while its dubbed Telugu version, titled Khiladi.
