      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Roswell, New Mexico admirably adds modern political context to its premise, but this reboot hews too closely to its predecessor to transcend the pitfalls of a redundant retread.

Linda Holmes NPR If you don't like CW shows but you like The X-Files and other alien shows and you're wondering if this will be up your alley, it probably won't be. But if you like a good CW sci-fi drama, this is a good bet to add to your list. Jan 16, 2019 Full Review Amy Amatangelo Paste Magazine "She can never know what happened to Rosa," Max says ominously at the end of the first episode, but the new Roswell is so boring I doubt you'll care. Rated: 5.9/10 Jan 16, 2019 Full Review LaToya Ferguson Uproxx Besides just the general problem with this kind of love story, Max's obsession with Liz just isn't as cute at nearly-30-years-old as it is in teen form. Jan 16, 2019 Full Review Kate Sánchez But Why Tho? A Geek Community As a reboot, the series creates a unique space for itself. And as a representation of Latinx on the CW it's unparalleled. May 18, 2019 Full Review Joyce Slaton Common Sense Media Aliens of all kinds in worthy update of '90s cult fave. Rated: 4/5 Jan 24, 2019 Full Review Janelle McCammack Tell-Tale TV the chemistry between the actors on Roswell, New Mexico is intense and exceptional, and it elevates the pilot from great to excellent. Gregory L This show ended for me when they implied the President favored a wall over the cure for cancer. Writers should be ashamed of themselves. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/23 Full Review Hope B In still in the process of watching this, but so far, it's really good! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/06/23 Full Review hilda k I didn't actually get through the whole first season, and stopped about 2 thirds through. I deeply want the unity and bringing together of the human race across cultures and classes for world harmony and the advancement and well-being of all peoples, but this show overdoes the fingerwagging. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Lol The show is extremely slow. The dialogs are boring and annoying, the acting is between 2 emotions for all characters. The visuals quite cheap and the storyline unfortunately did not evolve to make me continue. I recently saw that this is still going on, I opend 1 episode of season 4 and gosh it is still slow and boring Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/01/22 Full Review Audience Member Since there are several seasons on Netflix it seemed like wow this would be a great show to Binge. 20 minutes into the first episode just could not take it anymore. Every other line from the Main Charactor was some sort of Political Woke statement, looking to be entertained not educated CW Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member You can't replace Shiri Applby with an unappealing hispanic and expect anyone who watched the original show to like this one. Imagine you go to a HS reunion and all the girls you likes were fat and mean. That's what this show feels like. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
