Brief Life History of Matilda

When Matilda of Brandenburg-Salzwedel Heiress of Lower Lusatia was born in 1296, in Germany, her father, Hermann of Brandenburg-Salzwedel Margrave of Brandenburg-Salzwedel, was 26 and her mother, Anna of Austria, was 21. She married Henry IV the Faithful on 5 January 1310. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. She died on 31 March 1329, in Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, at the age of 33, and was buried in Lüneburg, Lower Saxony, Germany.
