<p>Charles Edward “Charlie” Murphy, 66 of Carver, MA passed away on January 27,2024 in Carver, MA.</p><p><br></p><p>Charlie was born in Weymouth, MA to Inez M. & Edward J. Murphy on March 15, 1957. He went to Norwell High School and graduated in 1975. He went on to earn a certificate in Automotive Technology from Franklin Institute. He worked as Building Maintenance for Rose Management at One Financial Center, Boston for 25 years then continued on to the Pilgrim Power Plant, Plymouth for 12 years. </p><p><br></p><p>Charlie loved motorcycles and riding his bike, “The Silver Bullet”. He enjoyed building & restoring Hot Rods and was a, “Jack of all trades and master of everything”. He loved to spend time with his family, camping, and traveling to different vacation spots. You could often find him on Sunday mornings, on the waterfront, with the Rebel & Rods Car Club and attending various local car shows. He received the 2022 Car of the Year from Rebels & Rods and won many other trophies for his pride and joy; his 1934 Ford pick-up. In addition to Rebel and Rods, Charlie was a member of the Upland Sportsman’s Club, and the Upland Riders. </p><p><br></p><p>Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Lynelle Murphy of Carver. Loving Father to Kristina Guidetti of Hanover, Janis & Steve Currie of Carver, and Jennifer & Curtis Emerson of Carver. Son of Inez M. “Ma” Murphy and the late Edward J. Murphy. Brother to Diane & Bill Gallo of Pembroke, Inez & Dave Wormald of Hanson, Susan & Joseph Smith of Carver, Frances Riley of Morriston, Florida, and Lee-Ann & Shawn Durgin of Plympton. Cherished Grandfather to Charles Currie, Edward Currie, Zoiee Guidetti, and Paislie Emerson as well as many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 4th from 12-4:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Monday, February 5th at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at Central cemetery in Carver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made through Venmo @inmemoryofcharliemurphy.</p>
