Brief Life History of Meinhard II

When Meinhard II was born in 1238, in Aquiléia, Udine, Italy, his father, Meinhard I Count of Gorizia-Tyrol, was 38 and his mother, Adelheid of Tyrol, was 20. He married Elisabeth of Bavaria Queen of Germany on 6 October 1259. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 1 November 1295, in Spittal an der Drau, Spittal an der Drau, Carinthia, Austria, at the age of 57, and was buried in Stams, Imst, Tirol, Austria.
