I use hopper all the time - it’s how I discovered Norwegian airlines several years ago.

Google Flights shows Norwegian flights

I love hopper but I think the best way to use it is to find the cheapest flights and fly days and then book directly through the airline so you don't have to go through a third party if anything happens

I do that too. Once I was about to buy a ticket but the price went up the next morning before I could buy. I put the dets in hopper and 2 hours later I get a notification, the price had returned to the original price. Saved me $115.

Hopper is great for cheap flights but if you have to make a change or cancel (I had to because of the corona virus spread), it’s a nightmare. The airline will direct you to hopper and hopper has no way to contact them except thru a chat bot. A week later, still waiting for a response.

Good to know.

They’re great sites for good deals but only if you’re 100% certain of your flights. If you need to make changes or cancellations — they’re a bitch to deal with (as with other third party sites as well).

So far, my experience has been pretty good though!

I am honestly trying to book a rather last minute flight for April to take advantage of the current lower airfares. But the flip side is that flights are rather unpredictable with all that is going on. From the tour response it would seem the best course of action would be to book through the airline.

It’s better to find a deal here but book directly with the airline so you can cancel directly using fee waivers currently in place. Changes are difficult through third parties.

Fareboom is completely unreachable at this time. I’m trying to get a refund processed for a flight this Friday and they quit answering their phones and no response emails in 2 days!

Very good to know! Thank you and I’m sorry you have to deal with that frustration.

Actually got through today after an hour on hold. They were very nice. Still waiting on an email to confirm the refund is taking place...

Im currently stuck in Europe as the airlines have cancellled our preexisting flights and fareboom is completely unreachable. Theyre no longer putting people on hold, the live chat is disables, and in egtting the run around via email. I need to contact someone or i cant adjust tickets to leave!!!

Good luck. Can you just buy a new ticket and sort it out later?

Weve just managed to get flights for tomorrow. The issue has been airlines cancelling flights... herees to hoping it all goes smoothly.

Avoid fareboom they tend to be a legit scammer. I mean when you buy flight tickets you got no issue but when you change your mind or something happens they charge you unnecessary fees that is close to the price you paid your flight ticket. It bloxes!. Avoid if you can. Peace out
