I thought attending CHS was great for my college readiness while providing a great variety of things to try. The culture can be Uber competitive and can be toxic at times.
Coppell has given me so many opportunities. I was able to start my own club make new friends and leard and explore in a lot of areas
Coppell High School is your average high school. However, I’d say it does a better job at preparing students for college because of the rigorous courses you have the option to take. There’s a very large student body, but you will be bound to meet people who you get along with.
The social life at Coppell High School was the best part. The school always had fun activities for us to do from football games to club activities. The school always made sure that we had bonding activities between students to create a more fun and welcoming environment beyond learning. Although I really enjoyed Coppell High School and it has amazing staff to keep it a great place, some teachers were not the best. The school doesn't take complaints about teachers very seriously therefore making some stressful learning environments with teachers that care very little. This was not a huge issue do to the administration always looking for the best quality teachers, it's overall and amazing school to attend.
I will never forget my high school, Coppell High School. This high school has made me who I am today. It is the best school I could have ever ask for. Their academic is par excellent, and school has many awesome clubs that I was part of it.
Coppell is a great school if you are looking for a challenge. They offer lots of AP and IB courses that allow anyone to find a path for them. The clubs are everywhere and there will be one for any student.
Overall, Coppell High School is a worthy school to spend three years of your life at. Not only does it foster great sense of community involvement, it also opens a wide range of opportunities for anyone who is willing to put in the work hard for their future. As a student at Coppell High School, I was involved in many clubs and sports organizations. However, not many of the opportunities of the school are commonly known or exposed to many of the students to set them up for a successful future. The school does not quite instill the thought of the future to its students. For the past three years I have been at the school, I don't think the topic about the future was really brought up until senior year, which I feel is not enough. Furthermore, the school should be more open about the ways to be academically competitive at the school. Despite those issues, as long as the student is willing to be involved, Coppell High School is a great place to learn and grow.
The school offers a wide range of clubs for the students to get associated with. Students get an opportunity to get engaged in Sports, Arts and Technology competitions to improve their learning experience.
It is a great school. Amazing teachers and good academics. The school culture and facilities and amazing too.
CHS is a great school that offers a wide variety of classes from AP/IB to CTE classes like business and comp sci. Academically it’s a really intense school but it will definitely prepare you for your future. Teachers are great and the student body is extremely diverse.
My experience at Coppell High School was definitely intense when it came to academics. The vibe there was all about being the best, and that meant a lot of pressure on us students to get top grades in every class. It seemed like everyone was more focused on getting that A+ than on actually enjoying what they were learning.
But one thing that stood out in a good way was the teachers. They were super friendly and really made an effort to connect with us. Having that support from them helped balance out the stress of trying to keep up with the high expectations.
Another cool thing about Coppell High was the diverse student body. There were so many different interests and passions among the students, which made the school a really dynamic place. It felt like there were resources and clubs for just about anything you could be into.

I would like to see more involvement in the drug issues at our school. Overall coppell is a very nice school , but there are some kids who vape a lot and sometimes certain parts of the school smell like weed. I would also like to see the plumbing issues in the locker rooms fixed as it smells horrendous and makes it hard for me and my fellow athletes to change with all the sewage stench. I like how inclusive our school is with sports and extracurricular activities but I do think that the issues listed above should be considered.
Belonging to a place and feeling like a home is a feeling like no other. Growing up always being the new kid as I moved from one place to another made it hard for me to find a place and people to call home. Although it was difficult and felt impossible, I had finally reached a point where I got this feeling. I moved to a new school my sophomore year of high school and the reality of finding a place I could call home started to set in. I began to find the people that I could call home and still do to this day. Ms. Springer, our High school principal never failed to make any of us feel like we didn't belong. She made sure to always have a smile on her face and greet us as we walked through the main entrance of the school every morning. She would always say “ How are you really really doing”, and I would always overshare. Her kindness and compassion for everyone at this school and her school spirit made me want to get involved.
You feel that your high school offers strong academics, but the competitive atmosphere leads to cheating among students. While some teachers are great, others aren't well-liked. Additionally, the vice principals are perceived as favoring teachers over students and aren't well-liked by the student body.
Coppell High School's educational model is very conservative. The school likes to meet requirements and doesn't want to seek new, interesting things. I will provide information on the positives and negatives of CHS and then provide information on what I would like to stay the same and what I would like to change. I will begin with academics. CHS is strict and thorough with academics. They meet the requirements provided by the state. Children are taught well. They are taught based on assignments, exams, and grades. However, students are not encouraged to dig deeper. The education is not in-depth. The education meets the requirements and usually stops there. There are teachers that encourage students to go in-depth, however, it is not a common occurence. I would like to see requirements met in a timely and strict fashion stay the same. However, I would like more interest to be put into the interesting topics of education -- things where students willingly dig deeper.
Overall, it is a pretty good high school and I have built many lasting relationships with my teachers.
Coppell High School was an incredible school and an unforgettable experience during my 3 years there. I learned so much and made lifelong relationships that will help me throughout my academic journey. While the school is very large and it can be hard to make you print on the school, it provides an amazing community of students and teachers to support and guide you throughout you academic endeavors.
