Toronto-based prodco Peacock Alley Entertainment is bolstering its senior executive ranks with the hiring of Mary Anne Waterhouse as EVP of content production.

This is a new role at the company, which will see Waterhouse working in tandem with president Carrie Mudd to lead and grow Peacock Alley’s content, development and service-producing slate.

Waterhouse brings three decades of experience with over 70 productions to the company. Her hiring follows the internationally successful release of drama series Tiny Pretty Things for Netflix, in which Mudd served as an executive producer and Waterhouse as a producer.

“The stars have finally aligned for Mary Anne to join Peacock Alley,” said Mudd in a statement. “We’re excited about our current production roster, and what Mary Anne brings to our development slate gives us an inimitable edge. Mary Anne’s connections and operational expertise make her an invaluable addition at a time of exciting growth.”

Prior to joining Peacock Alley, Waterhouse completed the upcoming family feature for Netflix, Nightbooks, produced entirely during the COVID pandemic. Other credits include the feature films Elysium, The Cabin In The Woods and Kodachrome.

Peacock Alley productions include the upcoming true-crime documentary Catching A Serial Killer (Oxygen), the tribute concert Tower of Song: Leonard Cohen (CBC), and science series Jensplaining (CBC), among others.
