      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

It isn't always as funny as it should be, but Wanderlust benefits from an extremely talented cast and some of David Wain's most confident, assured work behind the camera.

Roger Moore Tribune News Service A random, tedious and tone-deaf comedy, a feeble recycling of every hippie commune cliche you've ever heard. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 23, 2012 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times Even before the maddeningly smug faux-bohemian denouement, we've turned off and tuned out. Bummer. Rated: 2/5 Mar 19, 2012 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com There is no narrative cohesion to the film, no pull towards any of the characters, no emotional connection that made anything going onscreen resonate beyond a superficial level. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 17, 2012 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Several scenes may induce guffaws or shocked gasps, but this is the kind of all-too-common comedy that leaves the viewer with no reason to watch it again. Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Owen Nicholls NME (New Musical Express) Rudd illustrates his unchallenging likeability... Test T I watched this on DVD recently. It's one of those movies that starts out quite promising, but then nose dives into a cesspit of unfunny, crude and often gross sexual comedy. Given the calibre of the cast I expected something better. As it is, after 30 minutes you'll be wishing it to end like I did. Even the soundtrack annoyed me. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review Angy P Es muy estúpida, exagerada y mala Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Edward M I honestly think this movie is absolutely hilarious. It features so many great comic actors including Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston, Kathryn Hahn, Key and Peele, etc. I own a copy. Love to watch it. Doesn't deserve the paltry 50 something percent that it got. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Georgan G There are parts of the movie that make me smile, but as an old hippy, I find the stupidity of the hippy characters very insulting. Perhaps if it was funnier, I could have given it a higher review. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review Maddie M Not even Paul Rudd can save this. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review Christy L Funny and entertaining Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews
