While you may not realize it, you have chosen to dine in a Texas Tech University classroom! Skyviews Restaurant is a full-service, largely self-supporting restaurant designed and operated to provide a hospitality laboratory experience for up to 50 students each week. While you are enjoying an excellent meal in the lovely surroundings, students are developing skills and applying knowledge. Every day is a learning experience for our students, and we welcome comments and suggestions as we strive to improve your dining experience. We greatly appreciate your patronage.

Please note that reservations are limited due to the nature of our restaurant. Dinner reservations fill up quickly and will close 24 hours prior to dinner. If OpenTable does not allow a reservation or blocks out a timeslot, that signifies we are full for that time and/or day.

Staff was attentive, the manager was very sweet and came over to our table for comments and suggestions. She seemed eager to please and had genuine compassion for the customers.

We were there for the Acropolis themed dinner. The food was good and quite yummy (although my husband did find his strawberry salad a bit frozen - we joked about having to re-check the menu to see if the salad was described as a crunchy strawberry salad. 😁) The service was awesome! After she took my glass away for a refill, Natalie brought back a new straw for me. It’s rare to get that from a “regular” restaurant, much less a student server. Thank you, Natalie!

Slow down a little, salad too cold, soup only warm, spinach bowl in Prime-Rib juice. Waiter should ask if want steak-sauce.

Staff Happy Hour after Valentine's Day. It was very pleasant, with great food - better than ever, and a great atmosphere, typical for TTU.

Service is terrible. We had never been before and we stood waiting to be seated and the GM said well don’t just stand there, come on! And then proceeded to walk us to our table and leave. Two ladies asked for our drink order and then never said anything. We got one singular pour of water and they never returned. We sat confused for a long time because we had no idea what to do or that it was a buffet. I was extremely disappointed. I thought that this being a learning environment that they would be putting in a lot of effort but it was quite the opposite. Our waitress threw the ticket down and never said a word. We left without having anyone say anything or acknowledge us. It was so very disappointing.

Reserved a lunch table for two for my husband and I on Valentines Day! It was lovely! The decor and the ambience was perfection! The soft chatter of everyone’s conversations was pleasant. The food was hot delicious and diverse! I tried to taste a little of everything and it was tough returning back to work on a full, super content belly!
