While Brenda was studying to become a licensed nurse, she met her second husband, Kurt Warner. At that time, Kurt was a young prospect in the NFL. The former NFL quarterback was only 21, and worked as a stock clerk and an assistant coach at Northern Iowa.

The couple started dating, and they lived in Brenda’s parents basement for some time. Kurt didn’t mind Brenda having two children, and he loved them very much. Brenda says Kurt fell in love with the children before he even fell in love with her.

The couple then tied the knot on October 11, 1997. After marriage, Kurt decided to adopt Brenda’s two children; Zachary and Jesse.

Under the Warners’ care, Zachary was showered with love and support. The family never failed to make him feel special, and provided him with the best care and opportunities.

Zachary influenced his parents with his strength, passion, and love for life. Because of him, the Warners established a foundation to help young adults who suffer from cognitive and developmental disabilities named Treasure House in Glendale, Arizona.
