Smoking

Have the smoking rules changed? Where can you actually smoke now if they have?

11. Re: Smoking

So to sum up, No smoking indoors or enclosed areas, no smoking in outdoor bars or within 2 metres of anybody plus no smoking on beach.

Not allowed to smoke in street by law, but this not strictly enforced. .

13. Re: Smoking

Some pubs have ashtrays on the outside tables ( Spanish ones) Most pubs have places to smoke away from the pub

In the apartments I stayed at they had a smoking section and you also had a ashtray on the balcony which I made full use off 🤣

Funny how all those most anti smoking are always the ones to give chapter and verse on the rules and even make some up too as they go along, perculiar😃😂

16. Re: Smoking

Non smokers need to know the rules because they want to avoid places and areas they are likely to encounter a nicotine blue haze.

If you have asthma or other lung issues cigarette smoke can trigger a severe attack.

Everyone has the right to breathe clean air.

17. Re: Smoking

Smoking should be banned in public places and workplaces - simple. No-one should be forced to passive smoke against their will.

Everyone does indeed have right to breathe clean air......lets ban the internal combustion engine .... especially ban all those uneccesary journeys that could be walked quicker by the selfish and idle.

Much more harmful to others than a wisp of smoke on a terrace.

Non smokers seem to want the inside , the outside, any open space and then sit for hours in traffic jams, engines running , now that is harmful.

"Smoking should be banned in public places..."

But it isn't. So, if you need to avoid it, best not go.

'smoking is banned on the beaches'

Great idea! But now the promenades are filled with dog ends because they haven't thought to put out ashtrays/bins for them.

Approx 10 billion a year raised in the UK from tobacco tax, approx 1 billion a year cost to the NHS.

Lets ban it and put everyone's income tax up by 9 % to equal out the lost revenue, huh?

20. Re: Smoking

There is no need to smoke - especially in public places. If smokers wish to indulge their habit they can do so in private.
