Previously, Ananya Panday almost let slip about her relationship with Aditya Roy Kapur during her appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 8. When Karan asked if Ananya had been “Gumraah in love” (referring to Aditya’s last theatrical release), she replied, “Aashiqui aise hi hoti hai (such is love),” referencing Aditya’s breakthrough film Aashiqui 2. Despite Karan’s persistent prodding, Ananya chose to keep her personal life private, stating, “Some things are private and special and it should be kept that way, but I really want to talk about my professional life because no one’s talking about it.” In response to Karan’s famous line, “pyaar dosti hai,” she simply asserted, “We’re best friends.”
On the work front, Ananya is gearing up for her next project, Control, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, while Aditya has Metro… In Dino, helmed by Anurag Basu, in the pipeline.
