I was going to, um, obtain this to watch but never bothered because the reviews were so poor. Should I reconsider?

Definitely.

Spoiler alert
Interested to see how they progress the plot from where it left without it being turge though

It's good, I'd put it within the top 3 things Ridley Scott has put his name to.

Bit sick of Caitlin Moran to be honest.

I quite liked the first season. Didn't realise it was back any time soon so I'm happy.

Makes a change from the endless Star Treks and Wars anyway.

It's a very strange show. It's like it's been made by a Ridley Scott algorithm.

Agreed, but I enjoyed the first season and am looking forward to this.

First two episodes are out. It's more of the same, but that'll do me. TV budget CGI, but for some reason I find it fits the aesthetic just fine.

Watched half the first one and realized I didn't really watch it and don't want to start over

Anyone know when/where this is available in the UK.

Watched Season 1 based on this (and the season 1) thread.

I think the first season of this broke my brain because I've just caught up on the second season and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The problems from the first are still there but I've given up on trying to work it out this time. Just sit back and see what fucked up shit happens this time around in the weekly nightmare. Sometimes it's legit good, more often though it's so strange it's just funny (the endings of the two most recent episodes are this to a tee).

Travis Fimmel's unhinged character is so entertaining to me even though he makes no sense and seems to change by the episode. He's having the time of his life. Big fan of him and Niamh Algar although her performances have become wooden recently.

Supposed to be coming to Now in March sometime.

Chairman Yang

It really does feel like maybe the show had half an idea about what it was about at some point and then they just ditched that in favour of a parade of horrifying monstrosities.

It's like 'The dead stupid bit at the end of Prometheus: The Series'.

Head Gardener

been watching this and am loving S02 even more than the first

And it's cancelled.

QuoteThe cancellation of "Raised by Wolves" comes at a time when many changes are afoot at HBO Max's parent WarnerMedia, which was sold by AT&T and combined with Discovery to create Warner Bros. Discovery. The new regime, led by Discovery CEO David Zaslav, has shaken many things up in just over a month of ownership, including scrapping streamer CNN+ and shutting down production of new scripted series at TNT and TBS.

Salim first shared the news that "Raised by Wolves" was in danger earlier Friday, writing in a series of tweets: "It's not surprising, especially after the news of the mergers and what is happening at Warner, that a lot of shows are not having their stories finished. And unfortunately, one of those shows is Raised by Wolves. Nothing has been publicly shared yet. And there is a reason for that. An important one. One which I'm here to share with you now. There is hope. You see, we're in a unique position: we have a fully fleshed out and planned storyline, a Goliath of a production team behind us, incredible reception from critics and reviewers alike, and most crucially, a community base that is so strong internationally, it can not be ignored. The reason the cancellation hasn't been announced, and that's because there's still a chance the story can continue, and be finished at a new home. This is where you all come in."

The "Raised by Wolves" star went on to request fans be as vocal as possible about their hopes for a third season, in an attempt to help Scott Free shop the show to another platform for a potential third season.

It's rare that shows get picked up after being cancelled by another. The usual suspects that do (such as Netflix) aren't in great financial shape lately and are less likely to invest.

Well that's a bit shit. I love how batshit mental the show gets towards the end of each season.

Rumour has it that the budget was swallowed up by the new JJ Abrams thing which will no doubt be trash.

I couldn't remember if I finished watching this until I scrolled up and saw that I had.
