Reviews
- This is a recording of the Flying Burrito Brothers live in Amsterdam in the mid 1980's. At this point in their history, the only original member is Sneaky Pete on pedal steel guitar. Skip Battin is also in this lineup. He was in the Bryds, then New Riders of the Purple Sage, before joining the Flying Burrito Brothers in 1975 or 1976. They play several Gram Parson's penned songs, along with some classic country covers like the Louvin Brothers "Cash On The Barrelhead". A good choice for the Flying Burrito Brothers completest, but probably not a good choice for someone curious about the band. For the newcomer I would recommend one of the greatest hits CD's, like "Farther Along" or the 2 CD Hot Burrito's 1969 - 1972 Anthology.
