Holy ****, I did not know that Howard Jones warranted behemoth collections like this.

These titles were already upgraded with box sets in 2011, but the newer sets will feature a lot of "new" material for collectors. (And $$$ vinyl for those of us who have little need of it.)

although likely not the only one, I see that the "Hide & Seek - orchestral version" is not included anywhere. I'm happy that I do own it on cd from a HoJo box set from a decade ago.

In, in, all in -- one of my favorite musicians! I've kept up with his music through the years.
Was able to shake his hand and thank him for the music about two years ago.

This version was actually a One To One era b-side (from the "Little Bit Of Snow" single, 1987), so technically it belongs on the next set of reissues/remasters.

other than on cd in the aforementioned box-set from several years ago... I also own this track as part of a double 7" 45 - but awful vinyl quality. now I can watch for it with the "next set of reissues/remasters" THANKS, TK!

Analysis:
The Human's Lib Super Deluxe Box Set [2018] contains almost all of the previously available commercial material, except for a live version of "What Can I Say" (which does appear on the OOP Specially Selected Live Tracks CD from the 2010 Human's Lib / Dream Into Action box set) and a live version of "Hide And Seek" which AFAIK has never been issued digitially.

The key omission is the original studio version of "Always Asking Questions", which is not included on CD in either Super Deluxe Box Set (the video appears here on the DVD, though). Perhaps this track will be part of future reissues of The 12" Album and/or Action Replay.

Analysis:
For collectors, the Dream Into Action Super Deluxe Box Set [2018] debuts remastered versions of many DIA-era B-sides and contains most of the previously available commercial material except for a couple of live b-sides recorded at the Manchester Apollo and several live recordings taken from the Risk fan club series.

There is some question of exactly which mixes of "Like To Get To Know You Well" and "Look Mama" will be included in the final product, especially regarding the latter where a "previously unreleased digitally" UK Extended Mix is listed.

Are there any versions of these boxed set releases with less discs, e.g. only 3 CD sets, without DVDs & LPs?

There will also be 2CD/1DVD "Expanded Deluxe Editions" and 1CD "Remastered And Expanded Editions". (Of course, all of the configurations are remastered.) To obtain all of the CD content, it will necessary to get the full 3CD/2DVD/1LP Super Deluxe Edition box sets.

I never saw the 2011 versions, I have the original CDs. Nice to see there are other new options without the need for buying the vinyl.

yes, I have this box.
call me crazy, but I'm only a mild/moderate fan - but I HAD to have the orchestral version of "Hide & Seek" - lovely!

These buggers went out of print super fast, like in less than 2 years in the midst of a world wide pandemic fast. I just received and am playing the Dream into Action super deluxe one (bought at a premium from that famous auction site) but that Human's Lib set is no where to be found, even at 3rd party sky high rates. In reviewing the contents of that one, and noting I don't care much about owning a picture disc LP, it looks like what is missing is the 2 DVDs from that set (given that the CDs are still available in the far more affordable non-super deluxe version). The Live in Japan DVD has been released separately by the Cherry Red label, so that this one DVD is what appears now to be elusively and otherwise unavailable:

Those Kid Jensen BBC tracks have been separately released in a BBC box set in 2021, so they're off the list. Anyone know if these remaining 12 tracks have resurfaced anywhere else in either audio or video form since this super deluxe set came out? I hate to give up a hunt, but am leaning strongly towards just getting the now $30 2 CD/DVD box from amazon and calling it a day.
