Do hotels provide hairdryers?
Can I use hot air electric stylers bought in UK in costa rica?
Also , unless your hair dryer is dual voltage you would also need a converter as CR and U K use different voltages. CR uses 120v like Canada and US
See https://www.electricalsafetyfirst.org.uk/guidance/advice-for-you/when-travelling/travel-adaptor-for-costa-rica/ - re CR plugs (types A and B), adaptors, converters, dual voltage appliances, etc, - for UK travellers packing for CR.
If you are staying at an AI resort, for ex., the provided features/appliances will vary from, say, a jungle lodge, so it depends on where you are staying. If hairdryer in CR is important for you, you could contact your accommodation(s) directly to make sure.
