Marquette opens season on Dec. 2 at Notre Dame

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track & field teams have announced the 2022-23 indoor schedule. The 2022-23 season will mark the 100th season of Marquette track & field.

The Golden Eagles will be sending representatives to 10 meets during the 2022-23 indoor campaign.

"I'm excited about our schedule for the upcoming season," said head coach Bert Rogers. "We have a very good mix of both competition and facilities that will really set us up to perform our best at the BIG EAST Championships"

MU will kick off the season on Friday, Dec. 2 at Notre Dame and the Blue & Gold Invitational. This will be the first of two meets this season in South Bend, Indiana, with the Golden Eagles returning on Feb. 3-4 for the Meyo Invitational.

The Golden Eagles will travel to DePaul on Dec. 9 for the DePaul Holiday Invitational and the final meet before the new year. DePaul will be the host site again this season for the 2022-23 BIG EAST Indoor Championships on Feb. 24-25.

After the new year, Marquette will begin a stretch of six straight weekends of competition. The season will resume back at DePaul on Jan. 20. The Golden Eagles will then head to Grand Valley State the following weekend for the Bill Clinger Classic & Multi (Jan. 27-28).

Those who aren't making the trip to Notre Dame for the Meyo Invitational will be competing at Carthage College in the Tadd Metzger Invitational on Feb. 4.

MU will split the squad again on Feb. 10 sending representatives to the Hoosier Hills Invitational at Indiana and the GVSU Big Meet. Most of the team will be heading to Indiana while the distance runners make the trip north to Michigan for the Big Meet.

The final meet of the regular season will be at Wisconsin on Feb. 17.

This year's NCAA Championships will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 10-11.

Marquette's outdoor schedule will be released at a later date.
