I am enjoying these docs. The way you learn about Superman and how people can have their own interpretation without having to rely on a comic book story but make their own Superman story is great.

Was very curious to see how Arnold would be involved with this. Would he be a talking head discussing the character of Superman and the impact he has had on cinema? Would he be discussing a role he auditioned for or was considered for?
No. He’s in it for 3 seconds in the first minute of the movie where they are showing footage of the premiere after party and the narrator says, “Arnold Schwarzenegger stayed till the sun came up. So did Gene Hackman.”
So there you go. Crucial info. Arnold had a great time at the Superman II after party.
Other than that, it is a nice little documentary with some pretty cool behind the scenes footage and anecdotes.

Narrated by Zapp Brannigan, once again.
An incisive look at the absolute shitshow that was Superman II's production. I jest, tis merely a mildly diverting souffle with too much Richard Lester thinking he's a bloody genius, and not enough of anything else. Oh, and Henry bloody Kissinger?!
I NOW KNOW HOW THEY MADE SUPERMAN FLY.
Same as the first documentary in the fact it’s a love letter to making Superman come to life. The actors are clearly having a lot of fun, executives are in this and give their take which I thought was interesting.
Movies, man. They don’t make em like they use to.
Like the previous one, this is also somewhat of a puff piece. Has some slightly interesting moments, but doesn't really dig deep at all.
Another retro EPK style doc. Some good behind the scenes making of shit, but unfortunately features zero interview footage with Donner, only Lester sounding like he thinks he’s a comic genius for improvising hilarious sequences with the wind machine (aka, the worst fucking scene of the movie). That part of the doc just annoyed me. Rest of it is fine though.
Also, my DVD from the Superman collection (disk 7) wouldn’t even load, so I had to just watch this on YouTube. So annoying. I’ve had this collection forever, but this is the second disk to give me trouble during my Superman marathon!
Some serious behind the scenes gold. Especially the Fortress material. Really insightful vintage featurette.
