Tony Danza has learned a lot through his children: Marc Anthony, Katherine and Emily.

The Taxi actor became a first-time father at 19 when he was studying at the University of Dubuque in Iowa, where he was attending on a wrestling scholarship, according to his website. Tony and ex-wife Rhonda Yeoman welcomed their son Marc Anthony in 1971 and they divorced three years later.

Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Tony admitted his inaugural years of fatherhood weren’t the easiest, having been just a kid himself. “In a way, it’s tough when you are a young father like that. But you grow up together,” he said.

In 1986, Tony wed Tracy Robinson and the following year, they welcomed their daughter Katherine. Their second daughter, Emily, was born in 1992. Tony and Robinson eventually separated in 2006 before divorcing in 2013.

Here’s everything to know about Tony Danza’s children: son Marc Anthony and daughters Katherine and Emily.

Marc Anthony was the only Danza sibling to follow his dad's footsteps in Hollywood, having starred alongside Tony in his hit sitcom Taxi in 1978. He was only 7 years old at the time and despite his father’s hesitancy of raising a child actor, Marc Anthony pushed for the gig.

“I was very adamant that he shouldn’t act as a child. I just don’t think it’s the best thing for kids. As I look back at that, I wonder, though, because he was so talented,” Tony said in a Television Academy Foundation interview.

The Who's the Boss? alum continued, "He really was so good. It’s unbelievable the way he gets laughs and his sincerity. ... He’s living truthfully in imaginary circumstances and it blows my mind.”

Marc Anthony has since quietly left Hollywood to focus on his family. He and his wife, Julie, have been married for over 20 years and share two sons, who have both taken up an interest in baseball.

In 2010, Tony teamed up with Marc Anthony and his older son, Nicholas, to write a Danza family cookbook. Don't Fill Up on the Antipasto: Tony Danza's Father-Son Cookbook, which features 50 Italian-American recipes interspersed with anecdotes of the Danza dynasty.

Katherine Danza, 37

Tony and Robinson welcomed daughter Katherine on May 8, 1987 — a year after the pair tied the knot.

While Katherine, who goes by Katie, didn’t follow in her famous father’s footsteps per se, she did end up in a career adjacent to his as a freelance celebrity makeup artist and beauty consultant.

She has steadily carved out a name for herself in the industry, working with stars such as Leighton Meester, Chrissy Teigen and Rachel Bilson. Katherine has also collaborated with brands like 7 For All Mankind, Puma and Kith, as well as W magazine, per her website.

Prior to launching her solo career, she was a beauty editor at The Zoe Report.

On Dec. 16, 2023, Katherine married Adam Greenberg in front of 193 of their closest friends and relatives at Hotel Per La in Los Angeles. The venue served as a nod to her father’s Italian roots, Katherine told Martha Stewart Weddings.

“Hotel Per La was originally built in 1923 as the Los Angeles headquarters of the Bank of Italy, which I loved because I’m half Italian," she explained.

The couple originally met through mutual friends in 2020 but didn’t strike up a romance until they matched on a dating app months later. Katherine’s younger sister, Emily, served as her only bridesmaid while both of her parents walked her down the aisle.

In May 2024, Katherine and Emily appeared in a Joe's Jeans campaign alongside their mom.

"The opportunity to have portraits taken of the three of us — in celebration of Mother’s Day — was something we couldn’t turn down. It was so special!" Katherine told PEOPLE. "We took similar portraits when Emmie and I were kids, so it’s fun to have an updated version."

Tony and Tracy’s daughter Emily, who affectionately goes by Emmie, was born on Nov. 24, 1992.

A certified professional yogi, Emily got her start in breathwork and mobility while living in New York in 2011. She completed an apprenticeship with Yoga to the People before studying under Matthew Phippen “in learning the fundamentals of functional range conditioning and its integration with yoga asana,” according to her website.

She taught yoga in studios all over Manhattan but has since moved cross-country to L.A., where she still teaches in-person group classes and via her digital studio.

Emily married her husband, CJ, on Oct. 15, 2022. She wore an ivory pantsuit with a long train and tapped Katherine as her bridesmaid.

“I was the father of the bride, and I made a speech. I didn’t cry until the end,” Tony said of his youngest child’s wedding during an interview with Patch.

The Don Jon star even serenaded Emily in the middle of his speech. “It was the most beautiful day,” he said, adding that CJ is “a great guy.”
