Freeport High School Reviews
Rating 3.72 out of 5 274 reviews
Overall, my experience at Freeport High School has been very pleasant. I have never had much concern for my safety. I love all my teachers that I have had throughout my years in high school and I feel loved and cared for when I am around my other classmates and faculty. One thing I would like to see different is including everyone in all the opportunities the high school offers. I have always believed that some people are not aware of the opportunities that are offered at the high school and are only offered to the "smart kids". However, everyone should be able to apply and be involved in the opportunities that are given.
Overall freeport high school gives basic academic readiness. As an alumnus, counselors do not care for students, nor do they care for their seniors going to college. They provide little to no resources for teens who are all struggling with poverty, and they'd rather have security guards who prey on freshman girls and sell drugs to kids rather than meet the issue of support each child academically.
I recently transferred to Freeport where I began my Junior year in 2022. It was a very smooth and easy going transition because of the involvement of my guidance counselor, teachers and some peers included. The teaching staff is more then willing to help students succeed academically and host numerous office hours and opportunities to seek extra help and make up missing work.
