Michael Wincott. What’s your opinion of him?
Honestly it baffles me this guy isn’t more popular. Anytime he shows up in a film he almost always steals the show with his gruff voice and overall creepy demeanor. Funnily enough I don’t think anyone he’s played has ever lived!

Great actor, great voice, plays a slimeball well
Ah….hello again Cyclops.
Because it’s dull, you twit! It’ll hurt more!
Isn't that some kind of smelly cheese?
Oh my Gosh I was looking at him and wondering why I felt creeped out!! It’s Rochefort!!
“Bold words… I look forward to ramming them down your throat”
What a totally slept on movie
One of the few Disney movies I approve
“We are in a chase Porthos”
“You’re right…….something red”
“You can’t have any, you’re too young”
His voice work as Death in Darksiders 2 nailed the role.
I need to finish that. Can’t remember why I stopped.
Because it got really boring.
The ending was pretty rushed it felt like production ran out of steam and they had to come up with a way to end the game.
He played that role SO WELL. just, "I am 100% done with this bullshit, get out of my way, I don't care, I will never care, shut the fuck up, I got shit to do."
Such a great portrayal of Death.
Great in 3 musketeers
Him as the Prophet of Truth in Halo 2 is one of my favourite voice acting performances of all time.
He seems to add something cool to every movie he’s in. His gravelly hiss of a voice and sociopathic stare are always great. One of the great, underrated character actors.
I read something once that described his voice as “honey coated gravel”.
Fucking nailed it.
Yeah, he kind of purrs his lines. Like a congested cat or something. He never seems to mail it in. I even enjoyed him when he was in some bullshit direct to video crime thriller with the curly-haired dude from CSI.
You talkin 'bout 1998s Gunshy?
Haha. Yeah, I totally was. Thinking about it now, it was actually a surprisingly solid movie. Wincott, despite his slight stature, was kind of convincing as an underworld enforcer. And William Petersen is always an interesting actor. It seems like he just missed being a bigger movie star. Maybe if Manhunter had been the big hit it should have been.
And he’s a very close personal friend of Gary Oldman. It figures lol
He was great in the Crow as the bad guy
He and Jason Isaacs look great as bad guys with long hair.
Fun Boy? That was Michael Massee
No, Top Dollar. The main villian.
Not to mention Bai Ling being the crazy hot side kick. Then she just turned crazy.
I love her eyes
Oh that’s who this is!!! Now I see it!
And in 3 musketeers as the bad guy
Hell yeah
He was great in Alien: Resurrection as a good-ish guy
Underrated character actor, wish he was in more movies shows etc
I recently watched Nope, having no idea he was in it…not a great role for him IMO but it was great to see him in a major film. I loved his 90s work.
He is in Nope???? Omg I'm watching ASAP 🤯
Yeah, I came here to post this. Very underrated and under utilised.
One of them could have been opposite Morgan Freeman. But in the movie Along Came a Spider, based on the James Patterson "Alex Cross" series, Wincott played Gary Soneji. In most of the early books, he is the nemesis of Alex Cross. But his fate in Along Came a Spider is sealed much too early.
Great. Loved him in count of Monte Cristo
Dorleac: And if you're thinking just now 'Why me, oh God?' the answer is: God has nothing to do with it. In fact, God is never in France this time of year.
Edmond: God has everything to do with it. He's everywhere. He sees everything.
Dorleac: Alright. Let's make a bargain, shall we? You ask God for help and I'll stop the moment he shows up.
His role carried so much weight and was executed so well!
“I’ve got all the time in the world…”
That's a line I still repeat on the reg like 20 years later!
“‘I feel like a little worm on a big fucking hook.’ Well, boy, your mama must be damn proud of you!”
“Our Friend T-Bird Won't Be Joining Us This Evening On Account Of A Slight Case Of Death”
Caw! Caw! Bang! Fuck I'm dead!
This was the first thing I thought when I saw his picture.
"I think we broke her."
“Maybe we ought a just video tape this, play it back in slow motion”
My daddy used to say childhood’s over the moment you know you’re gonna die.
One of my all time favourite film quotes. The delivery is also top notch.
what movie is everyone quoting
The Crow
An amazing scene in a beautifully shot film. Win corr was on top form in it. (It’s criminal what they’ve done with the remake)

Well, lets have a moment of silence for poor ole’ Tin Tin does huge rail of coke
OP are you Micheal Wincott secretly fishing for compliments?
I'd be genuinely suprised if he even knew what reddit was.
Wasn’t he the sheriff in Robin Hood Prince of Theives

Ah yes that’s right. How could I forget Alan Rickman?
Yes, Guy of Gisborne. Awesome movie.
Sheriff's cousin.
Well his accent was better than Costner’s
It takes place in the year 1194. Modern English and modern British accents didn’t exist yet.
It’s like Amadeus, where technically everyone should be speaking German anyway, so they all just use their normal accents.
Why a spoon?
It’s dull, you twit! It’ll hurt more!
Improved the line too.
Beat me to it
Guy of Gisbourne. Sheriff's cousin.
He’s also in the Three Musketeers
Rochefort??
Isn’t that a smelly type of a cheese?
lol. Richelieu. Or roshambo. Heard it both ways
Richelieu is the Cardinal, Rochefort is his head of security essentially.
And Richelieu was played by Tim Curry
He was the sheriff’s idiot cousin
why was I thinking you guys were talking about men in tights sherrif of Rottingham lmao
His performance in Nope was absolutely perfect. “I’ve got an amazing lemon tart in the oven”.
Didn’t know he was gonna be in Nope. When he showed up, I excitedly exclaimed “hey! It’s that guy!”
His voice is gravel whiskey and smokes. Love it.
I only know him from Alien Resurrection
Same here. He was pretty good, though.
Loved the dress he wore in Nope.
That is awesome it's a cool quick role
Why a spoon, Cousin?
Because it's dull, you twit, it'll hurt more.
