I just did this cruise from Los Angeles to Ft Lauderdale. On board, the service was very good. You order anything through the Medallion App, if the item isn't available, they'll call where you are to find an alternative. (I may have drunk the ship dry of my beer of choice) The food was exquisite and every bit as good as some of the luxury cruise lines I've been on before. For the most part, the shore excursions were fun and worth the cost. Only one I was dissapointed with was Georgetown, Cayman Islands. But tbh, looking at the options before the cruise, it honestly felt like it would be bad either way. But I did hear good reviews of the snorkelling/Sting Ray excursion. So perhaps try that. Besides that one dissapointment with the excursion in the Cayman Islands, my only 2 complaints were actually to do with things outside of Princess' control. I'd avoid embarkation in Los Angeles. Traffic control to get to the Port was terrible, organisation at the terminal was poor. And communication was a disaster. Having said that, was that because there were 2 ships in port rather than 1, was it compounded with spring break and locals going to see the USS Iowa? And secondly, the tenders used at the Cayman Island need a redesign. Try and avoid the front of the bottom area, windows can't open, no airflow, combined with humidity makes it unbearable. And when you have ~200 people getting off those tenders. You can be stationary for a while waiting for clearance.

My wife and I enjoyed our 15 days on the Emerald Princess visiting 8 islands. The pacing of the island visits and sea days worked well. The crew, from Captain to Steward, were uniformly excellent with special kudos going to our stateroom Steward, Trisha, who was wonderful throughout the cruise. We did find some of the food items unnecessarily over-spiced, especially in the Marketplace Buffet at dinner where even the roast potatoes to accompany the meat option were heavily seasoned was often no vegetables to complete the meal.

Even though this is not a cheap cruise, my wife, I and my 2-year-old baby paid $10,000 for a cabin with a boat, they sell you a package that is a scam, they promise you prizes that they never give you, half of the drinks are not They have it for delivery to the room, only two meals, which is also the only restaurant where you can eat well, unlimited desserts, and you won't be able to eat even one a day because it is extremely disgusting, it is only good for a photo, they have no variety in the buffet, the same food 15 days in a row, they have almost no fruit, only apples and melon, the food at the buffet is extremely salty, they do not have capacity in the restaurants, they are full all the time and I travel with my baby, only one baby chair for The whole ship, when I managed to get an empty table it took them more than 20 minutes to bring me the baby chair because they had to look for it all over the restaurants, this cruise is definitely a disappointment, I want to think that it is not the entire princess cruise line, I I traveled a lot with Princess and it was never like that but this was the worst cruise I have ever taken in my entire life and with this one it is more than 25 Empesando que esto no es un crucero barato, paque por mi esposa, yo y mi bebe de 2 anos $10,000 por una cabina con barcon, te venden un paquete que es una estafa, te promenten premios que nunca te dan, las bebidas las mitad no la tienen para entrega en la habitacion, solamente dos comidas que ademas es el unico restaurante donde se puede comer bien, unlimited de postres que ademas no podras comer ni uno diario porque es estremadamnete repunante, solo sirve para una foto, no tienen variedad en el buffet, la misma comida 15 dias seguidos, no tienen casi frutas, solo manzanas y melon, la comida en el buffet extremadamente salada, no tienen capacidad en los restaurante todo el tiempo llenos y yo que viaje con mi bebe una sola silla de bebe para todoe l barco, cuando lograba cojer una mesa bacia demoraban en traerme la silla para bebe mas 20 minutos porque tenian que buscarla por todo los restaurante, definitibamente este crucero es una desepcion, quiero pensar que no es toda la linea de crucero de princess, he viajo mucho con princess y nuca fue asi pero este fue el peor crucero que he hecho en toda mi vida y con este son mas de 25

This was one of the best cruises we have ever taken (Panama Canal January 22 Fort Lauderdale to LA). We were a bit sceptical of the new Medallion Class on Princess, but I have to say it worked very well, made life a lot easier, and although there is always the thought of Big Bother watching you in the back of your mind, it just makes life onboard much, much easier. This is a great ship, with really fantastic staff, the food was excellent, and going through the Panama Canal has been on our bucket list it is everything one would expect. It is an incredible piece of design and engineering, and well worth doing. This was our second time on a Princess ship, and we have been with other Premium Cruise lines in between. I would say there is not a whole lot of difference between cruise lines in this sector, but it is the staff that makes or breaks a cruise. On this occasion the staff made a good cruise great. The food was really good, but we thought the Crown Grill was a waste of money; we would have had a nice meal in the MDR for our Anniversary and saved a lot of money. The maître‘d was a bit pompous, and there was no one at the entrance to greet us, even though our booking was on the sheet on the lectern, poor. Overall we enjoyed this cruise, and the Emerald Princess is a very nice ship

Back to back Cruise through the new Panama canal round trip fort Lauderdale 30 days. Overall this ship is not back to pre-covid levels of service The medallion and app is crotchety and slow to say the least. The app is not ready for prime time even after about 5 reissues, updates. The food is marginal. Princess should consult with McDonald's or Denny's for their fluffy buttermilk pancake recipe. They should visit New Orleans for Cajun recipes. They need to use a lot more butter in their pastries The oatmeal cookies are tasty and should be on display however they're hidden and you have to ask for them in the cafeteria every time you want a cookie. There is no longer an evening turn down on the bed or chocolate on your pillow
