Greenville Reviews

Been living here in Greenville since college at ECU. The town overall is very dry. There’s absolutely nothing to do and you get bored very quickly. There’s no good food here at all, you literally have to travel out of the town for good food and fun. Has experienced plenty of racism and discrimination here both at ECU and outside of ECU. Job opportunities here are lacking. The only things that are here are banks, fast food, customer service and the medical field. Pay, is absolute trash, if your not in medical field the highest you’ll make is probably high 40,000’s. For this town to be so small, traffic stay backed up. Town overall is toxic and negative and very congested.
Lastly, ECU Health Medical Center is the worst place to work. Terrible work culture and even terrible pay.
Apartments here are outdated and needs lots of renovating to look like we’re in the current year. Majority of there jobs here are toxic and negative in some way. Everyone here is struggling to make ends meet.

What made me stay in Greenville, NC was the fresh air and quiet neighborhood. However, the locals have a different temperament when approaching out of state/International people. I wish at least in the workplace they would have a class on how to make others feel welcome and put prejudice aside so they they don't come off as xenophobic.
Greenville is a moderately-sized city with a high population of college students. Housing is cheaper than a lot of other places in NC.
Unfortunately, job opportunities aren't great which is why many residents relocate after graduating. There isn't much to do outside of the bars and the Tar River.
The average driver in Greenville is poorly experienced and inattentive, which means frequent wrecks and traffic congestion.
