Love After World Domination

The plot is a bit absurd. Unique. It's intended to be funny. It's obviously a Romantic Comedy. And in that, it's pretty effective. The humour doesn't really land for me, but I feel it's more a "me" issue that an immediate flaw of this anime. The main characters are endearing and they do immediately give you the "cheer for these socially awkward beans" feels. Also, there seems to be a side cast with their own stories and feelings to explore. A lot of potential. My one gripe is that the art/animation gives off a low budget feel from time to time. Mostly in certain clips of fascial expressions... they seem a bit off or lazily drawn. But an anime is more than flawless execution of design. While the plot is a bit too absurd and the humour doesn't land for me, I am still objective enough to recognize this DOES have an audience and has a lot of charm for that audience. If this were my personal rating of enjoyment, I'd rate this between a 2 or a 3. But as an objective reviewer, it's closer to a 4 for a general audience.

I will definitely have to remember to come back and update this review after the show has finished. The character designs are on point with the perfect amount of quirky silliness that these sorts of Super Sentai inspired shows to require. The setup from episode 1 was just *chef's kiss* and I cannot wait to enjoy these two muddling their way through their dating experience. Came back to update this, beware this show is full of lewd hand-holding scenes! Not for the faint of heart!

Well... when the season dropped this was in my "Do not watch" list. But since a couple of the ones that were in my watchlist turned out to be a fiasco I gave this one a chance and BOY OH BOY!!! This is the Darkhorse of the season, it started really good and only keeps getting better and better. This has been a season of surprises for me, this teaches me that there's no greater respect for an Anime than to give it the famous "3 episodes rule". Love After World Domination Dance Dance Danseur Heroine Runs the Show Birdie Wing Deaimon Fanfare of Adolescence I had little to non expectation for those and they turned out to be more solid than the ones I was willing to go all way. While these one are shining on it's own, the ones I'm either almost dropping or already dropped are: The Dawn of the Witch The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody Healer Girl Those are pretty underwhelming for me. The rest of the anime that I was waiting for this season are doing pretty great, check them out: Spy x Family (my fav so far) Kaguya Sama <3 Aharen San Komi-San <3 Love All Play Shikimori's Aoashi Skeleton Knight <3 The Rising of the Shield Hero (even thou I didn't like the CGI that they've used on some parts) Tomodachi Game (nerve racking) Trapped in a Dating Sim A Couple of Cuckoos Have a great weekend and hope you like my recommendations.

A cheesetastic entry into Romcom (based on 1 episode) but really adorable. Fight scenes are actually good (better than some of the action series out there). I didn't know that i want Romeo and Juliet story that's based on Power Rangers but here it is...and I'm sold! Hopefully, they can sustain the story for the rest of the series. I will update my ratings when the series is done but so far 5 stars for me.
