Stewart Hall McNairy, 73, was born in Dallas on September 19th, 1947, to Jack and Mary Twilight "Twink" McNairy. He was welcomed by his older brother, Jack McNairy. He was raised in Park Cities Baptist Church and continued to worship there for years afterwards, eventually becoming a Deacon in 1978. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966 and cherished the many lifelong friendships he garnered there. At the University of North Texas, he majored in Radio & Television and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. After graduating in 1971, he asked Alicia Ann Merchant for her hand in marriage. Stewart and Alicia married in Ellis Chapel on December 28th at Park Cities Baptist Church, and they loved and served one another up until his passing. This same year, Stewart began his professional career in banking and finance at First Federal Savings & Loan Association. In 1981 he branched out on his own as a Certified Financial Planner and enjoyed a long career. Stewart was active in the community and in his church. He was a proud member of the Dallas Salesmanship Club, Northwest Bible Church, Stonebriar Community Church, and the Dallas Country Club. Stewart's life was about lifting others up. He was the consummate cheerleader and encourager. He had a sincere passion for loving people. He thrived in building relationships and helping others in tangible ways. There are countless people who were touched by his generous care. Stewart was often found singing, entertaining, telling a joke, or sharing a good story. He had perfect diction, a strong John Wayne impression, a love for Sinatra, and a deep appreciation for family. The doors of his home were always open, and he had a way at calling out the best in you. Stewart will be remembered for his ability to celebrate others, his contagious joy and open arms, and the way he helped shape lives.
