Joan Faust Obituary

Joan M. Faust, 91-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, with Father Patrick Hoeft officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 A.M., on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. The Christian Mother's will pray the Rosary at 9 AM on Friday at the church. Caring for Joan and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Little Falls.

Joan Marie Kroll was born on December 9, 1932, to the late Ignatius and Loretta Kroll in Royalton, MN. She attended high school at St. Francis Catholic High School in Little Falls, MN. Joan was united in marriage to John A. Faust on June 25, 1955, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN. She worked as a telephone operator and a home health aide but had spent the majority of her life raising her family. Joan was an active member of her mission circle at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Little Falls for 60 years, along with volunteering for many other roles with the church.

She enjoyed swimming, reading, gardening, and walking. Joan's home was filled with love and laughter, and she always kept God as the center of her life. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest source of joy. Joan enjoyed the constant chaos of a large family and always found humor, laughing, and the craziness of having eight kids. Joan will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Joan is survived by her sons, Jeff (Carla) Faust of Lino Lakes, MN, Tom (Mary) Faust of St. Paul, MN, Pat (Kelly) Faust of Independence, MN, and John (Donna) Faust of Bellingham, WA; daughters, Faye (Dave) Jordheim of Minneapolis, MN, Lori (Jack) Starr of Chaska, MN, Terri (Brad) Nelson of Edina, MN and Jennifer (Doug) Luick of Prior Lake, MN; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Faust; granddaughter, Felicia Faust; parents, Ignatius and Loretta Kroll; siblings, Arthur Kroll, Cletus Kroll, Dennis Kroll, and Rosie Powers.
