Canva welcomes Guy Kawasaki as Chief Evangelist

Former Chief Evangelist of Apple, Guy Kawasaki, has joined Canva and resurrected his famous title from Apple and we couldn’t be more excited.

“Macintosh democratized computers; Google democratized information; and eBay democratized commerce. In the same way, Canva democratizes design.” said Mr. Kawasaki. “You don’t get many chances to democratize an industry, so I seized the opportunity to work for Canva.” The renowned author, entrepreneur, and startup advisor will develop an evangelism program for Canva and help it grow internationally. Mr. Kawasaki said, “I was an early adopter of Canva and used it to create my social media graphics(opens in a new tab or window) and email newsletters. After making contact with Canva’s founders, I was enchanted by the company’s vision and desire to change the world.” Mr. Kawasaki will also become an investor in the company.

Prior to this, she worked with Kawasaki as his social-media architect, and she was the cofounder of the 12 Most website. She will become Canva’s Head of Social Strategy.
