For generations, we have strived to offer enriching experiences that are engaging for all people, all ages and all abilities, while also providing the highest level of care for our animals. We create memorable moments not simply through what we do, but in why we do it. Ultimately, we do what we do for you, our community.

Often called the ‘gem’ of Minot, the zoo draws more than 90,000 visitors annually and reaches more than 10,000 students through regional education and outreach programs. No place can fascinate, inspire, connect and impart knowledge about nature and wild species on the scale of a zoo.

Now is the right time to invest in the Roosevelt Park Zoo. Now is the time we’re asking our community to support us to do what we do better. Now is the time for a New Habitat for a New Century, taking us through the next 100 years.

Our Mission

Roosevelt Park Zoo has a tradition of excellence in North Dakota. We are among only 23% of zoos in North America accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA), the highest accreditation standard in the world. Our AZA accreditation standards are ever evolving to address operational viability, animal welfare, public education and conservation stewardship. To continue our legacy, we must be vigilant toward continued improvement. Now is time for us to improve our aged 1970s era cat complex with modern habitats designed for these magnificent big cats, habitats that are also dynamic for our visitors.
