Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

OK so it's a bit like a corporate hotel buts it's very, very comfortable, great beds, lovely bathrooms and fantastic breakfast. The location is great just a block away from the water front, easy to get around downtown Vanvouver, really enjoyed it.

Vancouver is a beautiful city with an incredible skyline. A great way to enjoy it is at a hotel like this one that features floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows (with perfect blackout curtains if desired). Rooms have been upgraded to include 40" HD TVs with Marriott's "connectivity panel", Adjustable LED bedside reading lights, and plenty of beverage service amenities (glasses, wine glasses, ice bucket, coffee/tea, etc).

My room, 2111, is the smallest on the floor, but it was still spacious and I'd take it again in a second.

The bathroom had a separate tub/shower, though I was disappointed the tub wasn't a soaking tub. Bathroom also had a window which was nice.

It is your safe, good marriott hotel in a good location, walking distance to the convention center. Nothing really special but clean and safe. Had no wireless internet capability in the room as I had to go down to the lobby to use my laptop.

Just a couple of blocks from the cruise ship dock, the location was perfect for us to spend a few days before leaving on our Alaska cruise. The front desk personel was very friendly, they have a business center and give you a 15 minute complimentary online credit if you didn't bring your computer with you and needed to get online. The rooms were updated, and have roomy bathrooms, thick towels, coffeemakers with "real" coffee mugs. I also enjoyed the workout facility which was open 24 hrs with your room card. Bellmen were very friendly and even suggested we use the coin operation feature for the parking lot instead of the hefty price if you paid at the front desk. Weekend rate was $7 by coin for the entire weekend vs apx. $30per day at the front desk.

I stayed with my Wife and Son, and although we had a few hiccups at check-in, they were quickly handled by the Management Staff. We were upgraded to a room with a beautiful view, and all of our special requests were handled in a timely manner.

The standout of this hotel was the service. Everyone was polite and friendly. They knew us by name by the end of the first day. They were very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately, I didn't check to see if they had WiFi in the rooms (doesn't every big hotel by now), but they had it downstairs in the lobby. Very inconvenient, but we made the trip downstairs to connect. My husband could not connect and they asked him if he had an IPAD II and he did. For some reason, IPAD II's have a very hard time connecting. We asked for help and they still couldn't hook us up. We were never able to use the WiFi.

The location is great, near the Sea Wall, Stanley Park, Robson St. and the Convention Center. We walked everywhere in the city. Very helpful Concierge service with written directions to Whistler, Butchart Gardens, Capilano Bridge etc. There is a car rental agency in the hotel and that was very convenient. Valet parking was very expensive at $35 a night. They overcharged us one night Valet Service but took it off immediately. They had free, big umbrellas for use in the rain which came in very handy. Overall Great Experience.

In the time from my first review of the Marriott Pinnacle in downtown Vancouver I have stayed another 150 nights in the Downtown Vancouver area between various properties. When rates allow, my chosen place of rest is the Pinnacle.

Construction of the Coal Harbor hotel next door is complete, allowing for full sidewalk access and reduction of noise. Views have been severly impacted by the rise of condominiums across the street, though not enough to dampen their enjoyment. Many rooms also enjoy a view of the Olympic Torch - lit on special ocassions.

The remodel of the rooms has also been completed, new furnishings adorn each room I've visited recently. Conference rooms are undergoing some remodel, the only evidence of this is a sign in the lobby.

The restaurant continues to be a significant area where improvement is necessary. The service is excellent, but the menu is significantly lacking and expensive.

Parking is still more expensive than a rental car, but the convenience of the Canada Line terminus at the Waterfront station with direct access to the airport has led me to abandon driving in Vancouver altogether. The lobby wireless is poor but free, rooms rarely get wireless but are all wired. The concierge lounge wireless is adequate and is free for those with access. Marriott grants free access to their elite members in room as well.

This is our 2nd time at this hotel and the experience was great.
Great room with partial view of the water. Room was what you expect from the Marriot with robes, bar fridge and flat screen TV.
The steam room was a great place to unwind.
Highly recommended.

This is a stunningly beautiful hotel. Our room was on the 28th floor facing the water. We could see the mountains, the float planes and a park. Sounds idyllic, right? Well, almost. This Marriott had the hardest bed I have ever slept on at a Marriott. I have booked Marriott hotels many times because of their usually good quality comfortable beds. This Marriott's bed was so uncomfortable that I slept poorly and woke up with sore back, shoulders and hips. I mentioned it to the desk clerk when she asked how our sleep was. She apologized but offered nothing. I was tired and glad I had only booked one night there and I didn't feel like bargaining with them for money off the bill or a discount on a future stay. I will probably not book another Marriott except as a last resort at this point because my last hotel stay was bad and was also at a Marriott affiliate (Renaissance, filthy room).

I arrived at the hotel just after 8 am for a conference. I asked if I could leave my suitcase at the front desk until check-in time, and was surprised that they gave me a room right away instead. The room was lovely with a large patio, very comfortable bed with reading lights, very good work station and excellent TV and A/V setup. The gym facilities are excellent. All of the staff, from the bellhops to the concierge, are extremely friendly and helpful. I had a great breakfast in the hotel restaurant. I look forward to my next stay!
